Hi Everyone,
I have been traveling since Saturday, and finally today I will set down in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I will be there to compete in the Slalom. It will be very interesting to see what Format the PKRA will choose to run. I have spent a lot of time preparing and I hope it will pay off and that I have made the right equipment choices as I was packing on Friday. Going to be interesting flying different kites for the first time in Competition.

Hi Everyone,
After 4 years with Flysurfer Kiteboarding I decided it was time for me to dedicate more time to my family and to my own Kitesurfing goals. I really enjoyed my time with Flysurfer Kiteboarding and I owe them so much. I have worked with some of the most dedicated people in the Industry and it's kind of hard to move on and open a new chapter in my life.
Does this mean I will stop competing? Hell NO! I am using the newly gained free time to spend more time training and getting fit. Being 35 now gives me a chance to race for the Masters Title so I am going for it. Also I am super stoked that the PKRA are doing Slalom this year and I am off to Mexico on Saturday to compete in the first event.
This year Fuertwagen (VW) are supporting me again. I really welcome their support (and my new van ;-) ) and really appreciate them taking me back on the team.
The future is bright! Stay tuned for updates!

Hi,
It's been a long time since I had time to update my website.
I big update will come soon as there have been some major changes for the coming season.
I have already added 2 new sections to the Website.
First the the Coaching section. For any kiters who would like some help to improve their kite skills when they are here on Fuerte I offer personal coaching for all kite disciplines. Check out the Coaching section if you are interested.
Also I am working hard to get my Race and Slalom How To Videos edited and uploaded. There are a few up already, but there are loads more to come to check back. Straight Tack and Gybe Videos are coming very shorty followed by a proper step by step how to of the Roll Tack. Check out the How To Section now.

Finished producing the Product Video for the Flyboards Flydoor 4. Did not have much time, footage or good conditions, but it still turned out pretty good.
Enjoy!

Hi everyone,
It's been a while since my last update. The reason for that is that I have had to take a hard look at my future in kiting.
I have decided that I am going to take a break from competitive racing for at least next year. After 5 years of being in the game and my Back Injury still not being 100% healed I need the time to clear my head, fix my body and get back to doing other kiting stuff.
Racing has been great, but I have lost a bit of my motivation and the politics of the whole Olympic fiasco has been draining and left a bad tast in my mouth. I am going to wait and see how the chips fall. Is there even going to be Sailing in 2020 at the Olympics? Should we be campaigning against the ISAF together with Windsurfing to get Medals for Board Sports instead of Sailing. Imagine this: The Board Sports Federation: Windsurfing, Kiting, Wakeboarding, Surfing and SUP taking the 10 Medals away from Sailing in 2020. That would be a bright future and we wont need the ISAF and their politics. Lets see what the future brings.
No matter what happens I will be taking it easy in 2013.

I also have another really important project called Xenia :-)
She was born on the 22nd of August and will probably be taking a lot of her daddies time from now on :-)

I managed to finish 10th at the PKRA Germany.
How did that happen?! ;-)
It's only been 3 months since my Back Operation and I never expected to be that high up the ladder at the PKRA.
The level is higher than last year and the equipment has normalised a bit, and I have managed to keep myself at the same ranking, which is to me shows that even though I am injured I can still keep up. Things are looking up for the Worlds in October as I assume I should be at a much higher fitness level than I am now.
Again I would like to thank all my sponsors who have supported me thus far. You guys have made my recovery much easer knowing that you are behind me all the way.

So thanks: Flysurfer, Dakineshop.com, Schwerelosigkite, Triggernaut, Xcel, Flag Beach Kitesurf Center, Atlantis Spa/Resort
I am now going to get on a plane to head back to Fuerte to prepare for a new chapter in my life: Fatherhood. In 4 weeks me and Doris are expecting a baby girl!
